How We Farm

Our goal is simple: raise healthy animals with excellent care. We emphasize practical animal husbandry and attention to detail; it makes all the difference in how we care for the livestock on our farm.

Our cattle spend most of the year grazing fresh pastures, our Berkshire pigs are raised outdoors under pine trees where they can root and explore, and our sheep rotate through pastures for grazing & browsing. In our experience, animals that are well cared for produce exceptional meat, and each and every day, that's what we strive for.

Our days start and end with checking livestock, moving fences for rotational grazing, feeding when needed, and paying attention to the little things that keep animals healthy and comfortable. We believe good farming is built on unwavering dedication, patience with nature, and treating our livestock with respect. We encourage you to follow us on social media (Instagram @emilyatbravo and Facebook @bravosteaks) as we share these daily aspects of raising livestock on our farm.

When you purchase from Bravo Steaks, you're supporting our family, helping keep agriculture alive in North Carolina, and making it possible for us to continue raising exceptional beef, pork, and lamb.
