INGREDIENTS
1 lb Bravo Steaks sirloin for stir-fry
3 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
Zest of ½ orange, optional
½ cup orange juice
⅓ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon minced ginger
To Serve:
Cooked rice
4 scallions, sliced (optional)
Optional Slurry (for thicker sauce):
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons cold water
INSTRUCTIONS
Pat the sliced Bravo Steaks sirloin dry. Toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until coated.
Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Add beef and cook undisturbed for several minutes to crisp, stirring only occasionally. Cook about 5–6 minutes total until browned and crispy.
Remove beef with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
Reduce heat to medium. Add sliced peppers and onions and cook 2–3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
In a bowl, whisk together orange zest, orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, and ginger.
Pour sauce into skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook 1 minute.
Return beef to the skillet and toss to coat. Simmer another minute.
If needed, stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken.
Serve over rice and garnish with sliced scallions.
NOTES
High heat helps achieve the best crisp on the beef.
Add broccoli or snap peas for extra vegetables
