Homemade Cheeseburger Mac
This one-skillet cheeseburger mac is a simple, comforting dinner made with lean ground beef, tender pasta, and plenty of melted cheddar.
Quick and family friendly
INGREDIENTS
1 lb Bravo Steaks lean ground beef
½ cup finely diced onion (or 1 teaspoon onion powder)
2 cups milk
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, sugar, salt, paprika, and black pepper. Set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and diced onion and cook, breaking up the meat, until no pink remains. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add milk, chicken broth, and uncooked macaroni to the skillet. Stir in the cornstarch and seasoning mixture.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer. Cover and cook for 9–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Add a splash of broth or water if needed.
Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
Serve warm.
NOTES
Stir occasionally while simmering to prevent sticking.
Add diced pickles or a spoonful of ketchup for a true cheeseburger flavor.
